Sophomore continues medal collection for speech

The Chase County Schools (CCS) speech team is about halfway through its season. Earlier this month, the team traveled to Sutherland Feb. 2.
There, sophomore Tegan Towns placed fourth in poetry.
Last weekend, the Longhorns traveled to Ogallala.
Towns was again the only medalist.
Unlike other meets, at Ogallala there was a preliminary round, a championship round with the top six speakers included and then a final round with the top four to five. Towns placed fourth in poetry.
