Scheel will complete his third year at CCS when his resignation is final on June 10.
In his short letter to board members, Scheel said he has appreciated the opportunity to serve the last three years.
Scheel said he has accepted a position at Giltner Public Schools, where he will be the elementary principal.

In her letter, Shriver said she has taken a position at Minatare Public Schools, which will allow her to live with her husband and be closer to other family in Gering.
She said she’s enjoyed her time here, adding “The students, community and school will always hold a special place within our hearts.”
Shriver will complete her third year at CCS the end of this school year.
