As a seventh grader, the ability to be involved in a variety of projects and competitive events is something that attracted Alexis Richmond to FCCLA.
She also liked the chapter sponsor that year, Chelsie Thayer.

Richmond will serve Nebraska’s FCCLA as its state president in 2020-21.
She is one of eight on the State Officer Team, who were named Saturday by the state board of directors.

“We had multiple rounds of interviews,” she noted.
