Chase County Schools’ Superintendent Adam Lambert completed his first official day July 1.
His hiring was approved by the school board on Jan. 14.
Lambert and his family—wife April and five children—moved to Imperial at the end of May.
“(Imperial) is a great community,” Lambert said. “There’s great amenities and a great school district. We’re excited to have our own kids go there.”
In the fall, Lambert’s children will be in fifth, third and first grades. They are planning for their 3-year-old twins to go to preschool.
“It’s a good fit for our kids and they’ve made some friends now,” Lambert said.
The opening of the city pool was helpful, he added.
“In Imperial and even across the nation, the kids want to be back in school so they can be with friends,” he said.
