Grads with ties here earn college degrees

December was a busy month for college students with ties to Chase County.
Many received college degrees as an early Christmas present.
Here are some of them:
Shannon Liewer
Shannon Liewer is a 2012 graduate of CCS and the daughter of Mike and Cindy Liewer.
After receiving her Bachelor’s in biochemical sciences from Peru State University, Liewer received her Masters of Physician Assistant from the University of Nebraska Medical Center last month.
She is engaged to fellow CCS graduate Kelton Fisher of Imperial.
Liewer will be working as a PA in family medicine at Perkins County Health Services in Grant.
Malissa Benge
Malissa Benge graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
Benge is a 2011 CCS graduate and the daughter of Rosa Martinez and is married to Colt Benge.
She plans to acquire her certification as a certified internal auditor and continue to work at First National Bank of Omaha.
