FCCLA, FFA students get recognition from state officials

The Chase County FCCLA and FFA chapters had five students recognized at the 20th Annual Commissioner’s Recognition for Student Excellence in Career Education at the State Capitol in Lincoln Monday. Alexis Richmond and Hayley Vitosh from the FCCLA chapter were recognized for placing in the top three at the national conference. Richmond placed third place and earned gold in the Sports Nutrition junior event, while Vitosh captured first place and a gold in the Sports Nutrition competition, senior division. Also recognized were Jack Bauerle, Emma Ferguson and Molly Luhrs from the Imperial FFA chapter. They finished in fourth place in the Marketing Plan Career Development competition at the  national FFA convention.
