FBLA students attend convention in Omaha

Nine CCS high school students attended the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) convention in Omaha last week, said Sandy O’Neil, FBLA advisor.
The students completed their job interview event where they were required to write a resume, cover letter and schedule a time for an interview.
“They were judged on their materials as well as their actual interview,” O’Neil said.
Senior Kalen Wallin received an honorable mention in Computer Problem Solving. He placed in the top 4% of all students taking the test. There were 118 contestants registered for the event.
“Students that weren’t in a performance event took five tests, went to a seminar and watched a performance event to see if there were any events they might be interested in for next year,” said O’Neil.
