Chase County senior range judging places in top 15%

The Chase County FFA range judging team competed at the state competition in Holt County last week.
In the Area 3 contest on Sept. 17, the senior team of Taylor Jablonski, Lindsey Mendenhall, Jozie Schilke and Austin Bernhardt placed second overall, with Jablonski finishing second individually.
Among some tough competition last week at state, the senior team took eighth place.
The junior team of Madelynn Hanes, Michael McBride, Nickolas Rau and Peyton Dubas took 24th place.
In the adult division, Chase County Coach Jeremy Vlasin received a white ribbon (fourth place), beating out his dad, Randy, who took 11th.
The pair flip-flopped at the area contest, when Randy was crowned champion and Jeremy received second.
