CCS students attend Nebraska Statehood Day celebration

On Feb. 28, Chase County Students attended the Nebraska Statehood Day celebration in Lincoln. The NEBRASKAland Foundation chose winners from the 2019 state fair projects to be exhibits for Statehood Day, a special celebration honoring the state and students. The students received special invitations for the celebration, and their medals and certificates were for their outstanding projects. The second grade class won medals for a group science project that focused on Trout in the Classroom, said teacher Arlys Cupp. Following awards, the students were treated to a guided tour of the Capitol building.
