CCS musical staged this weekend with limited audience attendance

Chase County Schools (CCS) students will be performing the musical “Moana Jr.” this weekend.
There will be two performances—one Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The show is open to only three members of each cast member’s family, said director Jodie Liess, K-4 and 7-12 vocal music instructor.
“We will be live-streaming each show for those who can’t attend,” Liess added.
To watch the streamed performance, go to ShowTix4U.com and search Chase County.
There is a streaming and processing fee of $10.19.
Synopsis
Moana Jr. tells the story of a young girl named Moana who is different from others in her village.
She is the daughter of the chief and is expected to lead her people one day. However, she is drawn to the sea, as her people have been for centuries.
Her village and way of life is threatened when the fish disappear and the vegetation begins to die.
She is told she must find the heart of Te Fiti and return it to the Goddess to save the island and her people.
She sets off on an adventure to find the demigod who stole the heart, and along the way, she learns how to sail and discovers who she really is.
Moana is a celebration of the rich stories of Oceania and is based on the beliefs and cultures of real people, Liess said.
