CCS middle school students compete in Science Olympiad

    Chase County Schools (CCS) sixth, seventh and eighth grade students competed for the first year in the Ogallala Science Olympiad last week.
    Jennifer Gonzalez, middle school science teacher, and her co-coach Torri Lechtenberg accompanied two teams to the event.
    Team one consisted of sixth graders Conner Tyerman, Kendra Kunkel, Alex Johnson, Tristan Jablonski and Kole Clevenger.
    Seventh graders on team one were Jesus Medina, Zach Herbert, Jesslynn Robertson, Bella Maddox, Athziry Valenzuela and Anahi Terrazas.
    Michael McBride was the only eighth grader on team one.
    Team two was made up of sixth graders, Eric Gonzalez, Jr., Carson Terryberry and George Colton.
    Seventh graders were Mason Wallin, Brooke Schilke and Katelyn Stamm.
    Eighth grade participants were Carleigh Lewis, Madelynn Hanes, Keirsten Colton and Aurora Griebel.
