The Imperial FFA Chapter received a donation of $1928.57 from Frenchman Valley Coop (FVC). This was part of a $30,000 donation that FVC, along with CoBank, provided to the Nebraska FFA Foundation to support local FFA programming. FFA Chapters receiving funds from this support include Creek Valley,Dundy County-Stratton, Garden County, Hayes Center, Hitchcock County, Imperial, Kimball, McCook, Perkins County, Potter-Dix, Sidney, South Platte, Southwest and Wauneta/Palisade.
These programs will use the donation towards leadership programming, community service projects and innovative projects for their agricultural education classrooms and FFA Chapter.
“FVC is glad to continue our support of our local Chapters. Their activities extend beyond the traditional classroom reaching into developing leadership skills, and building a foundation of disciple and dedication that remains in the students for a lifetime. The cooperative and the customer base is populated with former FFA members who have benefitted from the FFA Experience,” stated Jong Bender, CEO of Frenchman Valley Coop.
“We are very appreciative of the support FVC and CoBank has provided to FFA. We depend on this type of support to provide educational and leadership experiences for our students. FVC has been a long standing source of support in helping us to provide these experiences. I would also like to thank Leann Weiss of FVC for all the work she puts into this donor program.” stated Randy Vlasin, Imperial FFA Advisor.
The mission of FVC is that FVC and subsidiaries exist for the sole purpose of improving the economic wellbeing of its farmer-rancher members by being a dependable and consistent source of agricultural inputs, markets and services.
