Smokin’ on Broadway in fifth year

Smokin’ on Broadway will mark its fifth year this weekend. Normally, we’d say it’s the sixth annual event but COVID-19 broke a string of a lot of “annual” events.
    Nonetheless, Smokin’ on Broadway is back stronger and better this year after its one-year hiatus and you are encouraged to take part in the day-long activities.
    The Chamber-coordinated event has become a hallmark of summer activities in Imperial and has continued to grow each year, thanks to the many volunteers and sponsors who make the event possible.
    This year will be no different as the planning is complete and all that awaits is your participation in the event.
    As a way to say thanks to the community for their strong support of Chamber businesses during COVID-19, there’s a free barbecue this year for all on the city square.
    The day includes activities for all ages, beginning at 9 a.m. The day closes out with a free concert beginning at 7 p.m.
    Bring your lawn chairs and come enjoy the day.
