Janet Elizabeth (Hall) Bremer was born Nov. 5, 1957, in Whittier, Calif., to Bertha (Goertzen) and Harold Leland Hall. Jan attended school in Holyoke, Colo., and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1976.
On May 4, 1979, at the Bremer family farm, Jan was united in marriage to Kip T. Bremer. The couple settled on the Bremer farm west of Imperial, Neb., where they raised three daughters. In addition to being a homemaker, Jan cooked numerous meals for family and hired help. She also did all the accounting and bookwork for the farm and trucking business. Jan served on the District #66 School Board and as treasurer of the Chase Cemetery District.
