On May 28, 1950 at Haigler, he was united in marriage to Betty Hanshaw. To this union, three children were born: son Dale (Wanda) Brunswick of Farmersville, Texas, and daughters Deb (Randy) Bartlett of Imperial and Dianna (Michael) Chambers of Holbrook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty (Sept. 2, 1980) and second wife, Harriet (Oct. 26, 2003); brothers Ernest and Virgil and brother-in-law Harold Lloyd McCarville.
