Flossie Mae Green
Flossie Mae Green, 98, of Central City, Neb., formerly of McCook, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Cooper officiating.
Visitation was June 2 at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will take place in the Polk Cemetery at a later date.

Flossie was born on April 6, 1919 to Elihu and Ethel Hubbard in Minden. She grew up in the Holdrege area and attended a rural school near Minden.
She moved to California for a short time and then back to Nebraska in 1949 where she married Keith Green in 1953. The couple lived in Grand Island until moving to Central City in 1955.
Keith died in 1982. Flossie moved to McCook in the 1990’s and then to Central City in May of 2017.
She worked part time for Stanley Fuller Brush Company in Central City and was a full time homemaker.
Flossie was a member of the Christian Church. She enjoyed helping with the Girl Scouts organization. She enjoyed roller skating, ballroom dancing, singing and spending time with her family and grandkids.
She is survived by sons Dennis Stragey (JoAnna Huerengardt) of Placentia, Calif., and Larry (Brenda) Rogers of Riverside, Calif.; daughters LaDonna Johnston of Casper, Wyo., Vivian (Frank) Haury of Silverdale, Wash., and Sharon (Richard) Butt of Grand Island; eight step-daughters and one step-son; son-in-law Ken Promin of Brea, Calif.; brothers Ford Hubbard of Elm Creek and Delano Nelson of Holdrege; sisters Betty Swanson of Holdrege and June Steinbrink of Holdrege; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Flossie was preceded in death by her husband Keith Green, daughter Patricia Promin, brother Don Hubbard and sisters Laura Hubbard and Iantha Journey.
