Donna E. Beggs

Donna E. Beggs, 73, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2020, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital. She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife.
Donna was born on April 20, 1947, in Wellington, Kansas, the daughter of Homer and Marie (Chastel) Prather. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1965. Donna was united in marriage to Fred R. Beggs on April 2, 1966, in Oxford, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2007.
She was a member of the McPherson Family YMCA and former member of the First Baptist Church, McPherson. She was a volunteer for Save N’Share.
Survivors include: two daughters, Michelle Hobson (Daniel) of McPherson, Kansas and Marsha Wilson (Troy) of Hastings, Nebraska; two sisters, Joyce Mullan (Roy) of Mooreland, Oklahoma and Dorothy Ala of Wellington, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Richard Beard (Jordan), Lyssa McCombs (Quenn), Dustin Wilson, Summer Wilson, Scott Wilson, Taylor Wilson, and Faith Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Sophie Beard and Tucker Beard; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Homer Prather; mother, Marie Marquez; husband, Fred Beggs; and son, Richard Beggs.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2020, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, at Oxford Cemetery (Oxford, Kansas) with Elder Hubie Shorb officiating.
