Death notice: Virginia Unzicker

Virginia Unzicker, a longtime resident of Chase County, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Monarch Hospice House in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She was 94 years of age.
Survivors include five children: Connie (Tom) Lapin of Chandler, Arizona, Doy Unizicker and friend, Joyce Huff, of Lincoln, Peggy Smith and friend Marv Nesiba of North Platte, Kim Unzicker of Greeley, Colorado and Terri (Tim) Leibbrandt of Imperial; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catha (Randy) Stewart and Karen (Shannon) Robinson; and brother, David (Judy) Kistler.
Funeral services for Virginia Unzicker will be Saturday, July 13, 2019; 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Imperial with Pastors Melody Newman and Kent Griffen officiating. Interment will immediately follow services in the Blanch Cemetery in Rural Chase County.
Visitation will be held Friday afternoon, July 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Imperial.
A memorial has been established in Virginia’s memory.
