Boyd Eugene Einspahr

Boyd Eugene Einspahr of Thornton, Colo., died on March 6, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Boyd was born Oct. 5, 1931, to Charles and Mildred Einspahr of Imperial, Neb. As a young man he loved to go fishing at Enders where his parents owned a cabin. He graduated from Imperial High School, attended the University of Nebraska for a time and then signed up for the Air Force.
In 1952 Boyd married Twila Whiteley of Benkelman, Neb.
He entered the Air Force and was sent to a school in Illinois to study electronics. Boyd served four years as an electrical technician in the Air Force during the Korean war, and served in Korea for about one and a half years. He continued his electrical work in the civil service at Lowry Air Force Base training cadets on B-52 bomber simulators until he retired.
They had three daughters, Gail, Kim and Kay.
Boyd loved the outdoors where he would fish, hunt and go camping. He was a handyman and could fix just about everything. He loved helping his girls and grandchildren with projects in their homes.
Boyd and Twila liked to travel and visited many wonderful destinations during their married life.
Family was always important to Boyd and he loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a kind and loving man who made a difference in the world and was loved by his family and friends. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Twila Whiteley Einspahr, his children Gail (Bill) Rose, Kim (John) Cooper and Kay (Jeff) Springer; his grandchildren Justin Rose, Levi Rose, Holly DeShazer, Tara Rose, Cole Cooper, Luke Cooper, Cassie Cocozzella, Carly Douglas, Logan Springer; and eleven great-grandchildren. His is also survived by his sister Gwen Lindberg.
Boyd is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred Mars Einspahr, and his brother Rod Einspahr.
