Wauneta/Palisade Broncos football gets another win over Sandhills Valley

    The W/P Varsity Football Team improved it’s record to 2-0, with a 58-26 pounding of Sandhills Valley on Friday night.
    Kreyton Wiese ran in from three yards out to start the scoring. W. Hilbert passed to B. Frecks for the two point conversion.
    E. Goosey scored from 62 yards out for the Mavericks. The two point conversion failed. K. Wiese scored again in the first quarter on a 15 yard run. The two point conversion failed.
    In the second quarter, Wiese put another score up, running in from 38 yards out. Just before halftime, Goosey punched a score in from three yards out. The two point attempt failed.
    The Broncos scored on a two yard run from Ayden Baker and Wiese ran in for the two point conversion. Barrett Frecks scored for the Broncos on a 26 yard completion from Hilbert. Wiese ran in the two point conversion and the Broncos led 36-12 at the half.
    In the third quarter, Ayden Baker scored from 40 yards, Kreyton Wiese from 5 and Bennet Wiese from 2 yards. Colton Clouse scored for Sandhills Valley on a 35 yard run, making the score 58-18 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Carsyn Gragg scored from 43 yardas out for the Mavericks. The two point conversion was good and that was how the game ended, with a score of 58-26.
