The Imperial Police Dept. held a raffle at the National Night Out event. For every two items that people brought for the food pantry, they received a raffle ticket. Above, Kyson Vogt was the lucky winner of the Nintendo.

Tuesday night, August 4, the Imperial Police Dept., Chase County Sheriff’s Dept., Imperial EMS, Imperial Volunteer Fire Dept., and Nebraska Game and Parks, hosted National Night Out.
`This is an opportunity for the public and the youngsters in town to get to know the agencies that are available for their protection.
There were several booths set up in the City Square that ranged from handing out swag, to wearing beer goggles and going through an obstacle course.
The Imperial Volunteer Firemen grilled up free burgers and hot dogs for the crowd and handed out water. There was a raffle that had several different items attendees could win.
To enter the raffle, people were asked to bring two items for the Chase County Pantry, in exchange for a raffle ticket. The more you donated, the more tickets you got. There were three carts full of canned and dried goods along with some toiletries donated.
The winners of the raffle and the items they won were: Mercedes Newlander - 2 tickets to Hairball; Jake Thompson - 2
tickets to Tucker Wentmore; Margene Hayes - $100 gift certificate to Butler’s Pantry; Janessa Ferebee - Bicycle; Kyson Vogt - Nintendo; Bentley - ALLO gift certificate; Charlie - $50 509 gift certificate.
Towards the end of the evening, Officer Bustillos put on the taser suit and demonstated how the IPD tasers worked. To finish up the night, the Police Chief gave a demonstration with the police drone.
