Imperial Police Department to host National Night Out on Aug. 4

The Imperial Police Department is inviting residents of all ages to gather for an evening of family-friendly activities, public safety demonstrations and community engagement during National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The free event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at City Square and is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement, first responders and the community they serve.
Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to meet members of the Imperial Police Department, Chase County Sheriff’s Office, local fire department and EMS while learning more about the work they do to keep the community safe.
A variety of interactive activities and demonstrations are planned, including a drunk goggles booth, Nerf gun safety booth, fishing and furs display presented by Nebraska Game and Parks, a drone demonstration and a Taser demonstration. Free food and activities will be available for attendees.
The event will also include a raffle featuring several prizes, including a bicycle, a $500 gift card, a gaming console and Chase County Fair concert tickets.
Community members are encouraged to support the Chase County Pantry by bringing two non-perishable food items, which will earn one raffle ticket per donation.
National Night Out is an annual event held in communities across the country to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie while encouraging crime prevention and public safety awareness.
Imperial Police Department officials encourage residents to stop by, visit with local first responders, enjoy the activities and help build stronger connections within the community.
The event is free and open to the public.
