Beauty Lou and the Country Beast delights audiences last week

 Beauty Lou and the Country Beast was performed to packed audiences Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25.  The musical play was a presentation by the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) sponsored by the Chase County Area Arts Council with funding from the Nebraska Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.         
 Fifty-nine Chase County children were involved in the production.  Harlow Konecky and Erin Knotzel portrayed the younger and older Beauty Lou, respectively. Beast was Andrew Fortkamp, Fleabite Clyde the dog was Simon Leibbrandt, and Lilli Brinkema was Beauty Lou’s invisible friend.  Slim and Dusty, the farm hands were played by Christopher and Logan Welsh.
 Daughters of Buck, played by Becca Kaylor, a MCT actor, were Rosalee Jenkins, Madelynn Lambert, Claire Leibbbrandt, Gina Murillo, Sadie Sauder and Emma Stanley. The daughters after they grew older were Hadley Amen, Lily and Marina Hill, Blake Johnson, Sophia Krueger and Violet Sinclair.
A chorus of Country Folk were: Kaydence Rosiles, Isaiah Pursley, Ellany, Karalyn and Paislee  Pankonin, Leah and Brynn Lambert, Devyn Mulder, Jolynn Knoetzel, Josie Sauder, Tell and Orrin Ringelman, Booker and Otto Vlasin, Taylor and Sophie Fortkamp, Trinity Welsh, JJ Konecky, Maesa Swanson, Sloane Narbutovskih, London Foote, Carston and Danica Pflum, Audra Gaswick, Bristol Patterson and Inara Slade.
 Barnyard Critters on Buck’s farm were Saylor Jablonski, Justin Combs, Emery Gaswick, Gideon Pankonin, Lilly Huff, Amelia and Madeline Lewandowski, Kayla and Riley Hieber, and Emily Kumpula.
Assistant Directors were Jayden Pflum, Graham Vlasin, Autum Williams and Evie Narbutovskih.
