Patriotism was displayed all over town

    Over the fourth of July weekend, there was alot of patriotism displayed in Imperial.
    The Lions Club lined Broadway with American flags and many residents decorated their porches and driveways.
    There were two large American flags that really stood out. Frenchman Valley COOP had a large flag hanging from their crane by the gas station on the south end of main street.
    On east fifth street, Brophy Electric had a 20’ x 30’ American flag hung from their bucket trucks, along with a large bald eagle sculpture, mounted from one of the buckets.
    The Chase County Fair Board hosted bull riding Friday night and the Imperial Volunteer Firemen shot off fireworks for the city after the bull riding.
    Thunderstorms held off just long enough for the fireworks show to be completed.
