Perkins-Chase Livestock Judging Team places first

The Perkins-Chase Livestock Judging Team placed in the top 10 of 15 individual events at the Nebraska 4-H Premier Animal Science Event, May 28-29 on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
Coach Regan Gittlein said this has been a great set of kids with thanks to their hard work ethic and dedication.
Twelve event ribbons came from the intermediate team of Hayden Fowler, Paisley Holmstedt, Lily Kuenning and Charlie Spickelmier and propelled them to a first-place finish as a team.
The team was first in Cattle, with Fowler placing second, Spickelmier fourth and Kuenning fifth; first in Sheep/Goats with Holmstedt placing third and Spickelmier 10th; and first in Reasons behind Holmstedt in first, Spickelmier third, Fowler fourth and Kuenning in sixth.
The group was also fourth in Swine, with Spickelmier the top placer in eighth.
As individuals in Overall, Spickelmier was fourth, followed by Holmstedt in ninth, Fowler 12th and Kuenning 21st.
R. Gittlein said his team ended the judging season with a bang, with the Intermediate winning the Overall Team Championship and all members placing in the top 10 of multiple divisions.
“With a team that is just getting started in this sport, their potential and competitiveness, the sky is the limit”, he added.
“Senior team members Jayme Gittlein and Cauy Robinson saw success this year as well”, R. Gittlein said.
J. Gittlein placed second in Swine and fifth in Reasons on her way to a 12th place finish overall. Robinson placed third in Reasons and was 27th overall.
