W/P qualifies two wrestlers for State

    Wauneta/Palisade took nine wrestlers to Bartley Feb. 13-14 and qualified two for the State Tournament.
    David Bryner was the District Champion at 175 pounds, pinning all four opponents he faced. Kreyton Wiese finished second at 190 pounds.
    As a team, the Broncos finished in ninth place out of 32 teams at the D-4 District Tournament.
    Bryner and Wiese will compete in Omaha Feb. 19-21. On Thursday, Feb. 19, Class A and D will compete in the afternoon session, beginning at 3:00 p.m. C.T. Friday’s session will begin at 12:30 p.m. C.T.
    Bryner, (43-3), will face Jacob Jackson, (29-14), of Franklin in his first match. Wiese, (31-4), will face Carsen Goes, (29-7), of Southern.
