Wauneta Palisade girls wrestling begins

    The W/P girls wrestling team traveled to the Southwest Invite on Friday, Dec. 5, with four girls competing. As a team they finished 21st out of 30 teams that wrestled.
    Saviana Carrizales was the top finisher for the Broncos, bringing home a fourth place medal in the 105 pound division.
    Amya Keenan placed 6th at 235, Andrea Almanza 9th at 120 and Ensley Lawless, 10th at 130.

Perkins County Invite
    On Saturday, Dec. 6, the girls traveled to Grant for the Perkins County Invite.  Almanza finished first at 115, Carrizales second at 105, Lawless second at 130 and Keenan did not place.

    115: Almanza pinned Bailey Borg MAX, 0:52; pinned Kyli Klingsporn MIT, 5:47 for first place.
    130: Lawless pinned Madelyn Rork MCCO, 1:28; lost by decision, Sudden Victory, to Emmaline Tabor KIM, 6-9 for second place.
    235: Keenan was pinned by Noley Brower KIM, 0:20; lost by decision to Aaliyah Taylor MIT, 2-9.
