Christmas on Broadway scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 2

This year in Imperial, the Imperial Chamber of Commerce is hosting, Christmas on Broadway: Staight Out of a Hallmark Movie.
Festivities will begin from 4:00-4:30 p.m. at the Lied Public Library with a Very Merry Storytime with Mrs. Claus and Friends. From 4:30-5:00, there will be community caroling and the tree lighting in Imperial Square.
From 5:00-6:30, Christmas Village opens at the Imperial Fire Hall at 3rd and Broadway. Step into a festive Christmas Village filled with cheer, treats and twinkle lights.
The Imperial Fire Dept. will be hosting a free-will donation pancake feed. Bring at least one food item for the Chase County Food Pantry and visit with Santa Claus.
There will be a Santa’s Workshop Craft Station, sponsored by Grub’N 308-Craig and Desiree Loeffler. Adams Bank and Trust will sponsor Santa’s Mailbox. You can bring your letters to mail or write them there.
Pinnacle Bank is sponsoring a Merry and Bright photo backdrop for your holiday pictures.
Hayden Outdoors will sponsor a Gingerbread House Competition from 5:00-6:00 at the fire hall. Teams of 3-4 must pre-register by Nov. 22. Registration can be sent to info@imperialchamber.com or you can contact Melisa at Hayden Outdoors, 970-846-9985 with a team name and contact information.
Prizes for the Ginger Bread Competition will be given in Chamber Bucks, with $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd.
Butlers Pantry will sponsor a Holiday Bake-Off at 5:30. Enter your best Holiday Dessert for a chance to win $100, $50 or $25 in Chamber Bucks. Entries must be received by Nov. 28 at info@imperialchamber.com or at the Butlers Pantry. Entries are due at the Christmas Village by 5:30 on Nov. 2 for judging.
Before the parade starts, take a stroll down Broadway to enjoy window displays, local shopping and sweet surprises from the downtown businesses.
Downtown Christmas music will be provided by ALLO Fiber. Bomgaars will sponsor a Reindeer Food Making Station for kids. 509 Broadway will offer gift wrapping services, provided by Simply

Then stop by the Imperial Theatre for Mini Merry Popcorn to enjoy while you watch the parade.
The 2025 Christmas Parade of Lights will start at 6:30 p.m. Check-in and staging will take place at 10th and Grant Street, facing South.
Parade Grand Marshal is Maria Adle, CCS student and 2025 FBLA National Champion in Business Etiquette.
Judging will begin at 6:00, with the parade set to start at 6:25. The parade route will pass in front of the Imperial Manor, heading south, turn onto eighth street,going east to Broadway.
After turning south on Broadway, the parade will travel to the corner of third and Broadway, just past the Imperial Fire Dept.
Everyone is invited to participate in the parade. The parade committee asks that no floats include live Santas or Mrs. Claus.
