W/P Volleyball wins two, loses one

    Tuesday, Sept. 30, the Lady Broncos hosted a triangular with DCS and Northern Valley.   The Broncos played the DCS Tigers first, getting a big win over the 17-2 Tigers.
    The Broncos took the first set 25-21, before slipping up in the second , losing 13-25. In the third set, the Lady Broncos got it back together and won the set 25-21 to take the match and hand DCS it’s third loss of the season.
    In the second match against Almena Ks. (Northern Valley), the Broncos were in full control, winning the match in straight sets, 25-6 and 25-10.
    Friday, Oct. 3, the Broncos traveled to Sumner, for a match with the SEM Mustangs (13-5).
    In a back and forth match, the Mustangs took the first set 17-25, but the Broncos bounced right back to win the second set, 25-19.
    The third set went down to the wire, with SEM finishing it off at 23-25. In the fourth set, the Broncos could get close but couldn’t get the upper hand on the Mustangs, falling 20-25, improving the Mustangs record to 14-5 and dropping W/P’s record to 12-9.
