The Chase County Cancer walk will be held this Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Chase County High School track, located just south of the school building.
Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., with the honorary walk at 6:00 and there will be a light meal and raffle at 6:30.
Gary Patch, former CCS teacher, will be speaking about his personal story of strength and hope as a cancer survivor.
People still wishing to take part in the walk are asked to call Michelle Mandeville at (308)-882-7310.
There will be a split raffle drawing to support cancer fund Programs. The pot will grow with every ticket sold.
One ticket is $20, 5 is $75, 10 is $100, 20 is $150 and 40 is $200. The 50-50 drawing will be held after the conclusion of the walk. If you provide your name and phone number on your ticket, you don’t have to be present to win.
The forcast for Saturday shows sunshine and 74 degrees, so it should be a beautiful night to get out and make a difference for people with cancer. Hope to see you all there.
