Imperial has several options for licensed child care. In this article I’m going to share information about the Preschool and two Child Care Centers in Imperial. Some of this information can be found on the Child Care Roster on the dhhs.ne.gov website on the Child Care Roster.
Rainbow Promise Preschool is located at the Imperial Methodist Church, 420 Holland Street. They have been open since August 1997 and are currently under the direction of Tammy Siverson. They are a licensed Preschool for 52 children, ages three to six. Tammy shared that “Rainbow Promise Preschool was started in the mid 1990’s by Barb Hill and supported by the Methodist Church.  We are proud to have certified teachers with Early Childhood training and education.  Our teachers are Lorrie Ringleman, Rhonda Hill, Tammy Siverson, Aide Neives, Keila Lopez, and Anahy Gonzalez.  Two years ago we decided to start using the curriculum Mother Goose, which supports all early childhood standards, so children are ready for kindergarten.  We provide a loving and structured environment so children can thrive and learn!” To learn more about Rainbow Promise Preschool you can visit their website at rainbowpromisepreschool.com or call 882-0039.
Little Love Bugs is a licensed Child Care Center and are located in the Imperial Manor/Assisted Living/Heights complex at 933 Grant Street. They opened in September 2022 and are licensed for 30 children. They are under the direction of Cyndi Langenfeld. Cyndi shared that “We care for children 6 weeks up to 12 years of age. We are licensed through the State of Nebraska. We have three rooms at this time. An infant room for the cute little babies. A room for 2-3 year olds and a room for 3-5 year olds. We are a fun, interactive, hands on childcare. We have 8 amazing teachers who care, teach and interact with the children daily! We learn through play, child led curriculum and teacher led curriculum. We also have a preschool and Pre-K program. It is in session Monday through Thursday, September through May. During the summer we have a summer fun camp for ages 3 and up! It is a lot of fun. We take this opportunity to have lots of water play, trips to the park and field trips! We have a very fun, loving, caring staff who truly enjoy the children! All of our teachers are CPR and first aid qualified. Each teacher is required to continue their education in early childcare to acquire 6-12 credit hours a year required by state licensing.” To learn more about Little Love Bugs call 303-710-6197 or email littlelovebugsimp@gmail.com.
Little Sunshine Preschool & Daycare took over operation from the previous owners in August 2020. They are licensed for 52 children and are under the direction of Josie Bell. Josie shared that “Little Sunshine Preschool & Daycare: Where Learning Begins with Love. Little Sunshine Preschool & Daycare is an independently owned center located within Zion Lutheran Church, dedicated to providing exceptional care for children ages 18 months through school age. We offer a warm, nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to grow, explore, and thrive. Children enjoy two healthy snacks and a full lunch daily, along with structured learning guided by a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Preschool begins each day at 8:00 a.m., with hands-on activities centered around weekly themes. We also offer weekly chapel time, led by Pastor. Families may enroll in full daycare, preschool-only, or a combination of both. To learn more or schedule a visit:  Call or text: 308-883-0880 or Email: littlesunshineprek@gmail.com.
