For the month of July, the Pinnacle Bank Horns teams have been busy.
They kicked off the hot month with an away game against McCook. Sadly, the Senior Horns fell to the seniors 2 to 4. On the Juniors’ side of things, they also gained a loss with the score of 3 to 7.
The following week, the boys competed in their last regular home game. The game was set against the Frontier County Outlaws. Earlier in the season, both teams had competed against the Outlaws and won by a landslide. This time around the Seniors won once again, 16-1. The juniors gained yet another major win with the score of 16-1.
On the eleventh of July the Juniors kicked off the district tournament in Sidney with a victory against the team B&C Steel. The score was 8 to 11. The second game of the tournament was a sad loss, with the score of 0 to 15 against the Spartans. On the 12th, the Horns won yet another game against the Hi-Line Bulls with the score of 17-2. The Juniors played in the semi-final game against Chadron Monday night and lost 0-15 to bring their season to an end.
Looking forward for the Senior Horns, they have their last regular season game and district competition. On the 18th of July, the Horns will travel to Hershey to play against Valentine. The first game will start at 4:00, with another following at 6:30.
