Noah Rau all class Gold

    As a junior in high school, Noah Rau pulled off a major accomplishment in the track and field world, not only winning the Class B State Championship in the discus throw, but also setting a new all class record in the State of Nebraska, throwing a distance of 203’ 9”.
    Rau opened the competition with a throw of 190’ 8” on his first attempt.
His second throw set the record and his third throw was 188’ 6”.
After fouling on his fourth and fifth attempt, Rau threw 191’ 7” on his final attempt.
    Rau, who just finished his junior year at Chase County High School, broke the State Meet record by 2’ 2” and beat the old State record by three inches.
 His throw of 203’ 9” ranks as the ninth longest throw in the nation by a high school student.
    It is my understanding that he has been invited to throw the discus at the Nike Outdoor Meet June 19-21, however, details were unavailable at press time. .
    Only time will tell what Rau will be able to accomplish in his senior year but I know the Chase County fans will be on the edge of their seats when the 2026 track season rolls around. Congratulations Noah.
