C. C. Boys win B-6, Qualify 14 for State Track

For the first time ever, the Chase County Boys track team declared victory at the B6 District competition. This was the first year the Longhorns competed in this district due to being moved from Class C to Class B.  The final team points were 106, with the Swedes coming in second place with 96.
The qualifying events include all three relays and 11 individual events. The relay members include Kole Clevenger, Tristan Jablonski, Thomas Reeves, and Cemron Lempke on the 1600-meter relay, Austin Smith, Tucker Mollendor, Reeves, and Lempke on the 4000-meter relay, and Haven Hauxwell, Brextin Moreno, Krayton Paisley, and Jablonski on the 3200-meter relay. Other State Competitors are: James Bomba in High Jump, Lukas Fries in High Jump, 300 Hurdles, and 100 Hurdles, Clevenger in Long Jump, Hauxwell in the 3200 meter run, Tate Hubbard in Pole Vault, Jablonski, in the 800 meter run, Spencer Kelley in Pole Vault, Lempke in Long Jump and 400 meter dash, and Noah Rau in Discus and Shotput.
The state competition will take place at Omaha Burke. Half of the competition will take place on Wednesday, May 21st, and the other half on Thursday, May 22nd.
