CCS Boys claim Victory at Conference

On Friday, May 2nd, the Chase County Longhorns competed on their home turf for the SPVA conference competition. The boys won the team title over North Platte St. Pats with 176 points. The Irish came in second with 125 points, with Perkins County right behind in third with 108.
A total of five first-place finishes were to be celebrated for the Longhorns. Those were the 400-meter relay, including Austin Smith, Tucker Mollendor, Thomas Reeves, and Cameron Lempke; the 1600-meter relay, including Kole Clevenger, Tristan Jablonksi, Reeves, and Lempke; Noau Rau in Discus; Malachi Christensen in Polevault; and Clevenger in Long Jump.
Plenty of second-place finishes could be found as well, Lempke in the 200; Jablonski in the 800; the 3200 relay including Haven Hauxwell, Brextin Moreno, Krayton Paisley, and Jablonski; James Bomba in High Jump; Spencer Kelly in Pole Vault; and Clevenger in Triple Jump.
Up next for the Chase County is Best of the Midwest on Tuesday, May 6th. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm at Sutherland. After the completion of that meet, they will then travel to Dundy County to compete at the Twilight Meet. The meet is scheduled on Friday, May 9th, and will start at 12:30 pm.
