Wauneta Palisade girls first, boys second at Hitchcock Co. Track

    The Wauneta/Palisade track teams had a great performance at the Hitchcock County Invite, Wednesday, April 23.
    The girls brought home the championship, beating second place Southwest by 48 points. They also had seven first place finishes on the day.
    Molly Yearous was first in the 400 meter dash, Jewel Holthus in the 800, Annaly Ramirez in the 1600 and 3200, 4x400 relay, 4x800 relay and Mesa Cox won the shot put.
    The boys were runner-up, finishing 39 points behind Hitchcock County. The boys took first place in three events.
    First place finishers for the boys were Konner McCrumb in the 300m hurdles, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay.
