Ekhart honored at Chapter meeting

A presentation was made in Ogallala Chapter #142 in honor of Dona June Ekart. She was given the Imhoff award for the oldest member not in age but in years of membership. The Imhoff award was created to honor the first Worthy Grand Matron in Nebraska Mary E Imhoff in 1875. Dona June was initiated November 15,1928 into Imperial Chapter which consolidated with Ogallala in December 2021. Among some of the offices she held was Worthy Matron 4 times. When the Worthy Matron Cheryl Beckius PGM presented the award she asked Dona June for her comments she began to recite the Conductress lecture which was a fitting tribute to the memories of her active OES years.  In picture is Cheryl Beckius, Dona June Ekart,and Andy Stewart.
