W/P girls basketball season ends

    In the first round of sub-district basketball for the W/P girls on Monday, Feb. 17, the fourth seeded Lady Broncos beat fifth seeded Hi-Line 51-40, to advance to the second round, where they would face the number one seed, Southwest.
    The Southwest Roughriders (22-1)  only loss this year was back on Dec 7 to Maywood-Hayes Center, (21-5),  in their second game of the year.
    The Roughriders ended the Bronco’s season, handing them a 31-64 loss. That advanced Southwest to the D1-3  final game on Friday, Feb. 28, where they will play Pleasanton (15-9), for a trip to Lincoln.
