Enders Outdoor Extravaganza planned for June 8

The annual Enders Outdoor Extravaganza is scheduled to take place on June 8 at Enders State Recreation Area A Campground. This year’s event is also celebrating 50 years of hunter education in Nebraska and organizers are encouraging attendees to wear camo. Several activities will be held throughout the day. A 5-K run will begin at 8 a.m. Runners are able to register beginning at 7 a.m. A tractor show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Nearby, a kid’s tractor pull will begin at 11 a.m. Archery will run from 9 a.m. to noon and the pellet gun range will be open from noon to 3 p.m. Dutch oven cooking demonstrations and tastings will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A corn hole tournament sponsored by C2 Baggers will begin at 1 p.m.
At 3:15, award winning Teddy Roosevelt living historian and impersonator Adam Lindquist will be putting on a show on the big stage. A BBQ smoke-off begins at 4:30 with awards taking place at 6 p.m. At 6:15, CW & Twenty Hands High, a country and southern rock group, will take over the big stage with live music.
Several other activities will be available throughout the day, including kayaking, roping, a petting zoo, ax throwing, a craft show, Nebraska Game and Parks activity trailer, Old West Encampment and Hunter’s Education demonstrations.
A current Nebraska park permit is required.
