Broncos score well in field events at RPAC

The Wauneta-Palisade track teams picked up an RPAC individual first place finish from Peyton Cox and got second place performances from Jacksen Littrel and Kyle Jutten at Thursday’s championships in Benkelman.
Cox broke 38’ for the first time this season, winning the shot put title by more than three feet.
Head Coach Dawn Doetker said Cox is really being aggressive with her throws.

Kyle Jutten jumped a personal best of 6’0” to lock down second place in the high jump.
Jutten and Littrel are seniors and Cox is a junior. Doetker said her upperclassmen are giving strong performances and are where they need to be.
Also finishing in the top eight were Cheyenne Parrish in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Lillian Dinnel in the triple jump and high jump and GraCee Goings in the discus and shot put.
The girls’ 400-meter relay, McKenna Doetker, Parrish, Ryleigh McCrumb and Halle Bardsley, placed fourth, while the boys’ relay, Gabriel McCrumb, Jutten, Littrel and Ashton Wheeler, placed seventh.
Doetker said she loves how her teams have stayed strong together.
The Broncos are averaging 15 personal bests each meet, showing how hard they’re working.
