Cheryl Ann Swanson

Cheryl Ann Swanson was born April 27, 1958, at Holdrege, Nebraska, to Wayne W. and Barbara J. (Chaney) Lavalleur. As a young girl grew up and attended school in Holdrege graduating from Holdrege High School in 1977.
Cheryl married Monti C. Swanson on April 11, 1985, and the couple settled in Ogallala. Cheryl and Monti resided in Sterling, Colorado, for a time before moving to Imperial where they have made their home until present.
Cheryl was employed in retail sales in all the locations where she and Monti resided. Locally, Cheryl was employed at Imperial Super Foods.
Cheryl enjoyed dancing, deer hunting, fishing and golfing with Monti. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Cheryl passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at her home in Imperial. She was 64 years of age.
Survivors include: husband Monti of Imperial; sons Calvin Swanson of Lincoln, Joey Swanson of Omaha and Erik Boutwell of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Dusty Swanson of Ogallala and Becky (Tye)Johnson of Holdrege; nine grandchildren: Jameson, Kailie, Logan, Topanga, Penelope, Brooklyn, Brecken, Alex, and Levi; sister Jo (Doug) McCoy of Phoenix, Arizona; and brother Robert Lavalleur of Bellevue.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, 10:30 a.m. (MT) at the Imperial Berean Church, Imperial, with Pastor Matt Maxwell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Casual Huskers attire has been requested by the family.
No visitation, Cheryl’s wishes were for cremation.
A memorial, in Cheryl’s memory, has been suggested to the Swanson Family for a future designation.
