Riders get dirty at Chase County Fair

Mutton Bustin’ continued to be a draw at the Chase County Fair, and plenty of steer and calf riders turned out, too, for the Aug. 10 events.
Forty-six kids hopped on sheep for rides. First place rides went to Annabella Brown, Austin Pursley and Eliza Fanning. Loren Bullock, Camden Richards and Liam Hogeland placed second.
Alfred Sullivan’s ride of 5.6 seconds was tops among the 11 calf riders.
Abby Spicer, Blayden Larsen and Deklin Titus each had full rides out of 13 in steer riding competition.
