Piano, guitar recital spotlights Phyllis Mock’s students

    Phyllis Mock’s piano and guitar students played a variety of songs Sunday afternoon for their annual spring recital in the fellowship hall of Zion Lutheran Church.
    Mock said they started picking out and practicing their pieces a couple months ago. They provided an outstanding recital, she said, for parents, grandparents and friends.
    A reception of cake, cookies and pink lemonade followed the recital.
    Students participating were Sophie Fortkamp, Shane Jantz, Henley Worth, Drew Fortkamp, Hunter Greene, Jason Fortkamp, Avery Jantz, Edisyn Teply, Andy Jantz, Oli Greene, Peyton Banks, Chloe Dittler, Hadley Worth, Hayden Worth, Avery Cyboron and Zoey Kelley.
    Some of the titles played were The Entertainer, Oh Susanna, For the Beauty of the Earth, Rock Around the Clock, America, Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow, A Mighty Fortress, Math Whizz, Every Breath You Take, Country Roads, Shark Attack, This Train Electric Guitar, Alexander’s Ragtime Band, Spring and Battle Hymn of the Republic.
