Duane Neverve

Duane Arnold Neverve was born Nov. 1, 1955, in Wauneta, Nebraska, to Marjorie P. (Bartels) and Lamont Neverve.
Duane grew up in the Denver, Colorado, area and graduated from Westminster High School in 1973. After graduation, he went on to continue his education and received a degree as a Master Electrician.  
On Oct. 28, 1978, Duane married Lori Lane at the Faith Lutheran Church in Denver and to this union a daughter, Riki, was born.  
The family first settled in Westminster, Colorado, for two to three years before moving to Evanston, Wyoming. Duane was employed as a master electrician. He also worked as a semitruck driver and in the oil fields as a roustabout. While living in Wyoming, Duane was a deputy sheriff of Uinta County.  
Duane was a member of the Eighth District Electrical NECA Union.  
He enjoyed leather work, painting, fishing, hunting, being in the country, gardening, working on household projects and helping friends fix any problems they were having at their houses. He especially loved spending time and reminiscing with family and friends.   
Duane passed away Oct. 13, 2021, at his home in Westminster, Colorado. He was 65 years of age.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Lamont and Marjorie Neverve.
Survivors include a daughter, Riki (husband Steve) Willis of Ely, Nevada; grandchildren: Tre Willis, Kaylee Willis, Esperanza Willis and Jaidyn Willis; great-grandchild: Myles Willis-Parmley; brother, Stan (wife Sue) Neverve of Westminster, Colorado; nieces: Tiffany Cessna (Kevin Aldor) and Candice (Scott) Wallace.
Memorial services for Duane will be held Saturday morning, Nov. 13 at 10:30 a.m. (MT) at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial with Pastor Keith Wellman officiating.  
Private family inurnment will be held prior to the service at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.
Memorials in Duane’s memory have been suggested to the Neverve family for a future designation.
