Samantha Dawn Oxford

Samantha Dawn Oxford was born Oct. 28, 1998, in Imperial, Nebraska to Chad and Tara Oxford. Samantha grew up in Imperial and graduated from Chase County Schools in 2019.
Samantha enjoyed the Nebraska Special Olympics bowling team, crafting, her lady-bugs and caterpillars, Sunday drives, dancing and listening to music, reading, riding her bike, walks, riding horses and watching drag racing with Dad.
Samantha earned the Browning-Hilger Award in 2004 from the Nebraska State Fire School, an award for special children which is named in part after a former Imperial fire chief. Samantha especially loved spending time with family and friends. She taught them all kindness, unconditional love and always had a hug to give.
Samantha passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at the Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was 22 years of age.
Samantha was preceded in death by her grandmother, Linda Oxford; and step-grandfather, Kevin Jensen.
Memories will be cherished by her parents, Chad and Tara Oxford of Imperial; grandparents: David Oxford Sr. of Enders, Karen Jensen of Imperial and Tony Brown of Imperial; great grandmother, Helen Magee of McCook; uncles: David (wife Trisha) Oxford Jr. of Enders and Chris Brown of North Platte; cousins: Trevor Oxford of Imperial, Tyler (wife Mallory) Oxford of Imperial and Destry Oxford of Enders; numerous family and friends.
Funeral Services for Samantha will be held Saturday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 a.m. (MT) at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
A memorial has been suggested in Samantha’s memory to the Oxford family for a future designation.
