Imperial’s census count -3 from 2010

The official 2020 census count for Imperial came in at 2,068. That compares to 2,071 in the 2010 census.
The population numbers in last week’s story were correct. However, the headline and story noted the decrease in population was four people when it was only three.
Chase County saw a decline of 73 people from the 2010 count, going from 3,966 to 3,893.
The Aug. 12 release of census data included counts for states, counties, cities andtowns needed for redistricting. More detailed data will be released by Dec. 31, 2021.
