Forty-nine pullers entertain audience at tractor pull

The Heartland Pulling series brought a wide variety of pullers to the Chase County Fair Aug. 12.
From antique tractors to a jet-engine powered modified tractor, with stock pickups and modified tractors in between, there were 49 hooks on the evening.
Fans had to be patient early in the event as organizers went to work firming up the arena floor with a road grader, box scraper and packer. But their patience was well worth it and many had phones ready to record pulls.
