Nelden Dean Hewitt

Nelden Dean Hewitt was born Nov. 22, 1936, in Palisade, Nebraska, to Clarence H. and Anna (Cunningham) Hewitt.  
Nelden grew up in Chase County and graduated from Wauneta High School in 1954. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army where he began a 20-year military career.
On Dec. 14, 1956, he married Kinue Maeda in Hokkiado, Japan.
Nelden enjoyed fishing and traveling in his RV. He especially loved spending time with his family.  
Survivors include his son, Lee (Tina) Hewitt; grandchildren: Fontelle (Donovan) Osborn and Dean Hewitt; and great grandchildren, Hadley Fontelle and Braxton Carl Curtiss Osborn.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 16 at 11 a.m. MT at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, with Pastor J.R. Kline officiating. There will be full military honors.
