Death Notice: Frederick W. Olmsted

    Frederick “Fritz” Olmsted, age 91 of Elkhorn, Nebraska, died on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at Hospice House in Omaha. He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Cheryl Neverve; and brothers, John and Larry Olmsted. Fritz is survived by: his wife, Delpha of Omaha; daughter, Kathy (Steve) Spence of Nixa, Missouri; Ed (Toni) Olmsted of El Cajon, California; and Ron (Terri) Olmsted of Marion, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; along with a brother, Gene Olmsted of Cody, Wyoming.
    Fritz was a long-time member of the Ogallala United Methodist Church, the Ogallala Elks Club and the American Legion. He was active at the Ogallala Senior Center.
    He retired from ASC Capacitors (TRW) in 1996.
    No services are planned at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Maxwell at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery. The Reichmuth Funeral Home of Elkhorn is caring for the Olmsted family.
