Truck versus semi sends two to hospital

The Imperial Volunteer Fire Department (IVFD), Imperial EMS and the Chase County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle accident on July 1 at 9:40 a.m.
The accident was at the intersection of 738 Road and 331 Ave., just outside the west edge of Imperial.
Rylie Egle, 22, of Imperial was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 west on 738 Road when she came to the intersection of 331 Ave. and failed to yield the right of way.
David Brush, 69, of Imperial was traveling south in a 2013 Peterbilt on 331 Ave.
The vehicles met in the intersection, causing the Ford to spin, while the semi continued on south.
The semi suffered $15,000 worth of damage and the pickup was a total loss.
Both Egle and Brush were transported to Chase County Community Hospital for minor injuries.
Egle was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
